Penny - Liberty, NC
Meet Penny, a Manx-mix cat with the cutest stub of a tail! She is 4 yrs old, FS, and only 7 lbs. Penny would do best in a home with no kids under 12 and she is litterbox trained. Sadly, Penny is in kidney failure.
Penny is a petite and adorable brown tabby born in March 2014. As for personality, you couldn’t ask for a sweeter girl than Penny! She likes attention and being petted and loves a quiet lap and having her neck and ears gently massaged and scratched. Penny will also be happy to carry on a conversation with you in her teeny tiny voice. She does get along with other friendly cats, but is very non-aggressive and timid, making her a target for cats that tend to be bullies. For that reason, she might also be fine as someone’s cherished only cat. Penny is a young girl, but she is in kidney failure. We aren't sure why, but the vet has confirmed it is progressive. Penny is very particular about what she'll eat, probably because of the kidney issues. (she's not eating expensive food though) So, as you can see, Penny’s kidney condition and fussy appetite means she needs a special adopter, someone who is patient and loving, willing to accept her situation and able to provide the care she needs.
Penny is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, has been wormed and treated for fleas, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV/FIV and heartworms. Her adoption fee is waived for the right home. Daisy and Rosie - McCormick, SC
Meet Rosie and Daisy, 10 yr old female spayed siblings.
Rosie and Daisy are quiet girls who were left behind when her owner was killed in a car accident April 19, 2019. They've never been separated. They lived with a single woman and 2 small dogs. Both are very unobtrusive and sleep most of the day but do enjoy being petted. Medical is up to date. This is a dire situation with no home in sight and the shelters called do not think her (and her sister's) chances of being adopted good at their age and would most probably be euthanized. Thomas - Kinston, NC
Meet Thomas!! He is a 3-5 yr old, neutered male cat who weighs in at 12 lbs.
Thomas is hands-down the coolest cat! He is the most loving boy in the shelter! Thomas arrived as a sweet stray. We could see he was someone very special! He is HIGHLY social, very loving, VERY attentive to people. He deserves a better chance than to live in a shelter cage.
Thomas has been waiting unfairly long due to testing FeLv positive. He arrived with abscesses on his back most likely caused by deep bite wounds. It was no surprise for this test result. Thomas was promptly evaluated and treated by our vet. He is ALL healed and all his fur has grown back nicely like nothing even happened! Thomas is a hands-down staff favorite! All he wants and needs is someone with that special heart to realize how wonderful he is.
Someone to come and meet him, and not afraid to take him home and cuddle with him for the rest of his days! He is perfectly well and asymptomatic at this time. He could have many happy years ahead! Thomas will make a FANTASTIC bed buddy. He is perfectly perfect and going strong (it's like he doesn't know what all the fuss is about!). He also doesn't know why all the other kitties keep getting their forever homes and- still he gets overlooked.
Please- we know there's a special person for this special kitty. Thomas is a full adult. He is possibly 3-5 years old. He is fully litterbox trained. He is neat and clean and so friendly. He cuddles, he gives kisses, he drools while he's being loved on. He loves the lap or he would also love an independent lifestyle containing a cat tree. Thomas needs and wants to be wanted again. Help Thomas find his way out of the shelter. He has waited many months (we don't want to give up on him!) and is now competing with kittens!!!!!! Thomas has had all the work done. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, FIV negative and he is microchipped. Please inquire for extra pictures! For more information:= please email Susan Picard at or call 252 686-6284.

We have relocated and are unable to take Jade with us so are looking to re-home her with someone who will love her and take care of her needs. She is currently boarded with our vet in Siler City, NC.
