Stevie - Chappell, NE

Meet Stevie!  She is a 1 yr old, 8 lb, female spayed short haired cat.

Stevie is an adorable, friendly cat who loves attention!  We’re looking for a very special home for this sweet kitty. This girl is almost a year old and missing her left eye. She has limited vision in her right eye but not enough to be an indoor/outdoor cat. Some of our youth volunteers named this girl Stevie not only because she shares Stevie Wonder’s loss of eye sight but also because this amazing cat sings. When she hops out of her kennel into your arms she begins to chirp and purr. Stevie adores attention! Stevie is spayed and UTD on her vaccines. If you think you could give this precious girl an indoor home please reach out-she deserves the absolute best!  For more information please call the Adopt-A-Dog Animal Rescue, Inc. (16724 Hwy 30 Chappell NE 69129) at 308-890-0045.  Stevie's rescue would like her to stay within 200 miles of her rescue.

Roo - Omaha, NE

Meet tiny baby Roo!! Roo is a neutered male kitten.

Roo thinks he is exactly like all other kittens! He runs, wrestles, and chases toys like the best of them! However, his front limbs have a congential malformation called Radial Hypoplasia/aplasia. This particular deformity is caused by the long bones in his front legs simply not developing as they should have - they are very short. Roo actually has a mild version and uses the few inches he has to help him get around. He may need extra padding when jumping off furniture but otherwise he can live a normal, healthy and long life!

There is no need for surgery correction of this condition. He is learning how to carefully navigate the house as a kitten so care will need to be taken so that he is set up for success. Eventually he will learn how to get around the house. He has always been cared for and very loved, and now he needs a forever home. He is very loving and gives great hugs. In his ideal home, Roo would be the only pet simply because his condition makes him vulnerable as he can't get out of the way quickly and cannot defend himself.

A very cat-friendly small dog may be okay, but not one that would get too rough or chase him. Other cats had previously bullied him so he is typically fearful and does not enjoy the company of other cats. We ask that he be with children over 12 as he likes to get underfoot and has a hard time getting out of the way fast. Roo would love to be the center of your attention and will keep you laughing for hours! Although a great wrestler, he is a professional when it comes to snuggle time. If you're looking for a kitten that will keep you smiling and make everyday better, this is your dude!

Summer - Lincoln, NE

Meet Summer!  She was born at the end of May 2019, and is a spayed female Calico cat.

Summer is such an adorable kitten and has the coolest markings...her left leg looks like a sleeve tattoo! How awesome is that!?! She will be the talk of the town and definitely needs her own instagram page. Superstardom is definitely in her future!

Summer loves people and starts purring as soon as she sees them. She does wonderful with other pets and people of all ages. She is just sweet as pie, and such a beautiful kitten! Summer is a Calico-Tabby kitten and was born approximately 5-25-19. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, and dewormed.

She tested positive for feline leukemia (FeLV) so needs to be an only cat or live with cats who are also FeLV+. Adoption fee is $100 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
